The First Annual San Luis Obispo County Envirothon was held in May at
the

| The day began at the
Amphitheater of the San Luis Obispo Botanical Gardens. Ken Levine and Teresa Lees of the Botanical Garden describe the area and the excursion the students were about to take. |

| The two
schools then went on a field trip up the riparian corridor, half from each school with Ken and half from each school with Teresa. |

| It was time to split up back into the two school teams and begin the competition | |||
| The two teams huddled on opposite sides of the amphitheater and discussed each of the questions carefully before turning in their final answers. | |||
